[7] Portuguese egg tart failed attempt
Random story I want to write today about how I tried to bake a Portuguese egg tart a few months ago. I love egg tarts so much. It's my comfort food. I found the simple recipe online and tried to make it. But making something good for the first time was not my forte. So this time I identified what made it bad:
- Pastry was too thick, so the bottom part was undercooked.
- The colour of the filling was dull, almost too white compared to the bakery-made.
- The size was too big, hence the undercooked problem.
So I want to make some adjustments for the next recipe: - Roll the pastry thinly.
- Use smaller aluminium cups.
- Use yellow food colouring.
The taste was quite good, not too sweet. So I might bake it again sometime.
